NCA Parent Organization
NCAPO Mission Statement
"The NCAPO is a parent and caregiver volunteer organization that fosters engagement by bringing our families, faculty, and administration together to create a place that invites, inspires, and strengthens community involvement. Rooted in the belief that engagement makes our school a better place, we work to support our teachers and staff in their academic enrichment, encourage family togetherness, and plan social events that positively impact both our school and the broader community while supporting and aligning with the school's values and mission."
At Northside Catholic Academy, we strive to create a community that is welcoming, respectful, nurturing, and compassionate. At the heart of this is our focus on the partnership we have with our parents and the important role service plays at NCA. Parents are not only integral to their child’s academic success, but also to the continued growth and success of NCA.
NCA is comprised of an incredibly diverse, energetic, intelligent and committed group of families. When parents are asked what they like the most about NCA, the typically answer is “community.” This strong sense of community truly makes us unique and enhances the whole educational experience.
The NCA Parent Organization (NCAPO) plays a big part in making NCA such a thriving community. The NCAPO is an organization of parents that works with the faculty, staff and administration to enhance the educational experience and environment for our students, as well as keeping the lines of communication open between parents and administration.
Throughout the year, the NCAPO plans a variety of family activities, service projects and fundraisers for the school. Events like Field Day and the Family Dances make a positive contribution to the quality of education, student life and our community.
The NCAPO also raises money through fundraisers such as Trivia Night, and organizes a variety of Give Back Days with local business and restaurants. Money raised supports academic and facility improvements, and provides teacher grants for classroom needs.
Every fall, the NCAPO plans a schoolwide service project to address needs in the communities we serve. Over the years, we’ve collected food for the St. Ignatius Food Pantry, and supported local organizations like Care for Real, Housing Opportunities for Women, and the Red Door Animal Shelter.
